911 Dispatchers Needed

Have you ever thought about pursuing a career in Public Safety? Have you ever wanted to make a difference in Jasper County and receive pay while doing it? FULL-TIME AND TEMPORARY PARAMEDIC

DEPARTMENT: Fire Rescue
REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for administering appropriate emergency medical treatment to victims of accidents and other life threatening situations. Operates an advanced life support ambulance to administer care. Routinely assists with the inspection of the ambulance and related equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary cleanliness. Maintains station and performs daily duties as required by the position. Must be able to work flexible hours and flexible locations. RÉSUMÉS SUBMITTED WITHOUT AN APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in Paramedic Technology and a minimum of two to three years experience in emergency communications and emergency medical response functions with the ability to provide leadership and supervision over assigned emergency service functions; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain the required certifications as deemed necessary by Office of EMS which includes Paramedic’s certification and possession of appropriate state EMS certifications (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certified by the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council as Firefighter or able to obtain certification within one year of hire date.

TEMPORARY FIREFIGHTER

DEPARTMENT: Fire Rescue
REQUIREMENTS: Perform professional fire and rescue operations to save lives and maintain property damage in the event of medical emergencies, accidents, fires, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and any other events that cause an emergency situation. Drives emergency response equipment and fire trucks to the scene of an incident. Maintains vehicles, trucks, firefighting and rescue equipment, and the fire station. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of one to two years of experience in firefighting technique and engineering, rescue operations and truck driving and operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain state certifications including EMT-I, CPR, and a valid Georgia driver’s license with appropriate endorsement. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and have experience with a Medical Unit. Certified by the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council as Firefighter or able to obtain certification within one year of hire date.
